Allianz General partners Howden to underwrite first bicycle insurance in Malaysia

Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad (Allianz General) announced recently of its partnership with Howden, the international insurance broker, to provide cyclists with the first-in-market Bicycle Insurance. 

While cycling has an avid following in Malaysia, cyclists have long lamented the lack of insurance protection against accidents or theft. 

Allianz General and Howden’s comprehensive bicycle insurance offers protection against accident/crash damage, theft, and coverage of accessories and specified add-on parts. Moreover, Allianz is also offering the Allianz Shield Plus personal accident insurance as part of the coverage that will cover Accidental Death, Permanent Disablement, Snatch Theft or Attempted Snatch Theft, medical expenses as well as other Optional Benefits.

Allianz General Chief Executive Officer Sean Wang revealed that the Company is excited to embark on its partnership with Howden to serve the protection needs of cyclists in Malaysia. 

“Malaysia has such a vibrant cycling community, and what was missing was an insurance solution that looked after the cyclist and their ride. In Howden, we found a distribution partner that ticked all the right boxes, and we are very excited to work together and be able to offer meaningful protection for our customers,” said Sean, who is also Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Malaysia Berhad.

Fill Your Heart With Love

Every religion teaches man to greet the day with love in your heart. Nanak Ji, Christ, Buddha, Mohammed, Shiv and many others led us within. But we are quick to react to the actions of others, often going to the rooftop and yelling at them, humiliating, looking low, unappreciated backbiting on them. Sikhs In Tampin

The "Gurdwara Cycling Tour 2022" will start on 7 May and both of us, Gurdev Singh and Jack Chan will flag off our cycling tourney from Tampin Gurdwara to Gurdwara Melaka, a historical city in the state of Melaka, Malaysia. I would like to account a little history about the Sikhs in Tampin. The Sikhs first arrived in Malaya around the early 1900's and Tampin town (based on records) were first visited by Sikhs in the 1920's. Most of these Sikhs were employed to work at railway stations, bus and lorry drivers, some took the post of policemen while some as labourers working and looking after cattle and at respectively plantations. On 18th September (based on records), it was stated that the first Prakash of the Sikh Holy Book Sri Guru Grant Sahib Ji was held at Gurdwara Sahib Tampin.
